Birth Access, Reimagined

Naomi Bjorgan, LM, is a founder and the current sole owner of Redding Midwifery Group. Through a partnership with Redding’s new midwifery-led Medi-Cal program, Family First Maternity, the vision for Redding Birth Center was born.

Redding Birth Center provides its facility to families served by Family First Maternity, making a safe and empowering birth center delivery accessible to those who might otherwise be unable to afford full midwifery care. To further support these families, Redding Birth Center established a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to pursue grants and additional funding that will help reduce costs even more for families facing financial hardship.

Our vision is to grow this program into a comprehensive resource offering not only out-of-hospital birth options, but also full lactation support and services for every stage of the childbearing year.
